Lesley-Ann Jones is a journalist and author with over 20 years' experience in London, New York and Hollywood.
A feature-writer and columnist for such titles as the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and Sunday Express, she was part of the management team behind music channel Vintage TV, launched on Sky and Freesat in September 2010. She also wrote and presented the rock interview series 'Me & Mrs Jones'. She is currently helping to develop a television channel for digital music suppliers I Like Music. Jones is also revising and updating her 1997 Definitive Biography of Freddie Mercury. The hardback will be published by Hodder & Stoughton in October 2011, the paperback in 2012 to coincide with the Hollywood feature film about Freddie Mercury, starring Sacha Baron Cohen. Additionally, she working on complementary television and radio documentaries, and on an interactive website.

Lesley-Ann Jones is the daughter of Ken Jones, award-winning sportswriter for the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and the Independent. She studied Modern Languages in London and Paris then trained as a speaker and writer with the New York-based American incentive company E.F. MacDonald and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. At Chrysalis Records in London she was secretary to John Pasche, creative director and the designer of the Rolling Stones's lips logo.
Jones co-presented Saturday night magazine series ‘Ear-Say’ with Capital Radio DJs Nicky Horne and Gary Crowley on Channel 4. After initially writing for the Sun, she spent 6 years as showbiz feature writer for the Daily Mail, Mail On Sunday and YOU Magazine, touring with the biggest rock and pop acts of the day: from Paul McCartney and David Bowie to the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Queen.
Following the birth of her first of three children, Jones became a freelance feature writer and TV and radio pundit, based in Los Angeles. Her contributions to titles in the UK, US, Australia and Europe included interviews with Tony Blair, Frank Sinatra, Raquel Welch, Mel Gibson, Charlton Heston, Brigitte Bardot and Princess Margaret. She also appeared on Fax!, Music Box and Livewire in the UK, and E! Entertainment and Hard Copy in the States, for whom she presented a regular London strand.
